This is one amazing chocolate churro waffle recipe. Adding marshmallows to your chocolate sauce makes it a lot more delicious and gooey. You have to give this a try. If you have kids, let them help you make the chocolate sauce. Nothing spreads more love than family cooking together for a big morning breakfast.

Directions

  1. Preheat waffle maker, brush both sides with cooking oil
  2. Whisk together dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, sugar
  3. In Ventray Stand Mixer, whisk over medium speed, eggs, butter, milk, and vanilla extract until just combined
  4. Fold in dry ingredients
  5. Cover batter with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes
  6. Pour chilled batter into waffle maker, cook until golden and crisp. While making waffle, work on chocolate sauce
  7. Brush cooked churro waffle with butter, remove and set aside
  8. Marshmallow Chocolate Sauce:
  9. Heat the cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until it simmers
  10. Add in chocolate, cocoa powder, instant coffee mix, whisk until fully dissolved
  11. Add marshmallow and whisk until sauce thickens
  12. Pour or dip churro waffles and serve

Tips

You can grease your waffle maker with butter instead of vegetable oil.
Resist the urge of opening your waffle maker before its finished cooking.
