Buttery Crunch Bar

These freshly baked buttery crunchy chocolate bars are the best snack for a lazy staying home weekend.

Ingredients

  1. ½ cup unsalted butter. room temperature
  2. ½ cup packed brown sugar
  3. ¼ cup granulated sugar
  4. 1 large egg at room temperature
  5. 1 tsp vanilla
  6. 1 cup all purpose flour
  7. ½ tsp baking powder
  8. ¼ tsp baking soda
  9. Pinch of salt
  10. 1¼ cup chopped chocolate toffee bars
  11. 100g almond chips or chunks
  12. ½ cup chocolate chips

  1. Beat butter brown sugar, granulated sugar in Ventray Stand Mixer for about 5 minutes over medium to high speed, until light and fluffy.
  2. Gradually add in egg, vanilla, occasionally scrapping down all sides of Ventray mixer bowl
  3. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; gradually add this into the butter mixture, beat over medium speed until well mixed.
  4. Stir in chopped toffee bars and chocolate, almond chips
  5. 5.Prepare a 9inch square baking pan, grease and line with parchment paper, then add in the mixture.

Oven Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325F
  2. Bake for 30-45 minutes or until golden
  3. Cool on rack before cutting into squares
