Classic Hummus

Homemade classic restaurant-style hummus

  1. 540 ml (1 can) chickpeas, drained rinsed
  2. 2 tbsp extra-virgin-olive-oil
  3. 2 tbsp tahini
  4. 4 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  5. 2 small garlic chopped
  6. ¼ cup broth or water
  7. ½ tsp sea salt
  8. 1 jalapeno chopped (optional)
  9. paprika, fresh mint, parsley for taste



  1. Add in all liquid ingredients first (except broth/water)
  2. Then add in all dry ingredients into Ventray Blender, secure lid
  3. Start blending at speed 2, increase gradually to higher speed, use tamper to push down ingredients
